Agona West District is in the Central Region of Ghana with a population of 1.6 million . One of the main problem affecting the district is poverty. The dependency ratio for the district is 79.1% with the total dependency for the rural higher with 95.3% than that of the urban which is 74.7%. These conditions leads to; School drop-outs, street children, high rate of teenage pregnancy, single parents, drug abuse and unemployment, resorting to child labour to support the family, illegal exploitation of natural resources, resorting to loans with high interest rate. We believe illiteracy is one of the key players in this. Therefore, the main goal of this campaign is to raise 1000 USD to sponsor 10 kids living under these conditions in the suburbs of Agona. 100 USD per kid will cover the tuition, uniform, books, feeding, etc for one term (4 months) only. The organization will sustain this idea after one term. Any amount will be well appreciated. Thanks for the support.
