Narkwa D/A Basic School in Ekumfi Narkwa was established in 1961 by the community and the Mfantseman Assembly. It began as a Junior High School but was expanded in 2007 to include a primary section due to overcrowding in the area. Since then, enrollment has grown quickly, and the school now serves over 700 pupils, far exceeding its capacity.
During our recent assessment, we discovered severe overcrowding; some classes hold up to 90 students, along with a lack of washrooms, potable water, a library, an IT lab, and inadequate furniture for both pupils and teachers.

To support the community, BFG is currently constructing a 4-classroom block, along with providing nursery furniture and work tables and chairs for teachers.
The project will reduce classroom congestion, improve safety, and create a healthier and more effective learning environment. With improved facilities and enough space for students, teaching and learning will be significantly enhanced.
